The Ellie Fund

Share the Joy of Crafting

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Ellie. She loved crafting so much, that she wanted all children to be able to experience how much fun it is to use your creativity and imagination to make robots and rockets, crowns and cardinals, picture frames and chalkboard - anything and everything, really! In order to share her love of crafting, Ellie came up with a brilliant and thoughtful plan.

IIMG_1982n 2013, Ellie held her birthday party at The Craft Factory. Instead of presents, Ellie asked that her guests make a donation to a sponsorship fund so that all children who wanted to could come in to craft. Her party was a fun time and a great success - and thus, The Ellie Fund was born!

Today, The Craft Factory honors the spirit of Ellie’s gift and those of other people generously donating to The Ellie Fund by working together with local schools and non-profit organizations to identify children and families in need of help from our fund. Food, clothing, and shelter are the most basic necessities, but we believe having some time to relax, play with crafty materials, and express yourself via art is an important break needed from the often too harsh realities families in need face every day. These families receive a gift certificate that covers their crafting session, so they can come to The Craft Factory and experience just how much fun crafting can be.

Thank you for your help in bringing these families a little joy through crafting.
